Description
Broadway2LA Acting Studio is offering an 8-week advanced “TV/ Mini-Series” course that ends with a red carpet event where students will premiere their TV scenes to talent agents and casting directors up on the big screen at the Abbey Theater (Dublin, Ohio). This course is designed to introduce students to advanced acting principles which includes scene analyses, building a character, and creating a role for the screen.
Talent Agency/ Casting Director Showcase Lineup*:
All students will premiere a 2-4 minute TV show at the showcase, and the guest list includes:
- Heyman Talent Agency
- PCG Talent Agency
- Helen Wells Agency
- Sigal Models & Talent
- Industry Professionals: (Casting Directors) Candy Bennett
*At the showcase, talent agents and/or casting directors could attend in person or watch the videos online to scout talent.
Schedule Includes:
Weeks 1-5 – Classes will cover basic and advanced acting skills needed to build a character for the screen that is honest, authentic, and engaging.
Weeks 6 & 7 – Students will film their TV scenes in front of a “Green Screen” with professional lighting, sound equipment, and a camera crew.
Week 8 –Students will take a limousine ride to the Abbey Theater, see their TV scenes up on the big screen and walk out to the B2LA red carpet for pictures at the “Broadway2LA Talent Agent & Casting Director Showcase.”

Class Dates: September 16, 23 & 30 / October 7, 14, 21, 28 and November 16* – Monday Night Classes.
Class Times: 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm

*November 16, 2024 [Saturday] is the “Broadway2LA Talent Agent/ Casting Director Showcase” at the Abbey Theater.
**Experience level- Advanced
*** Advanced Requirement- If you have completed a Broadway2LA “Film” class (8 week course), “Commercial” class (5 week course) or “Demo Reel” class (5 week course) you are eligible to take the “Fall TV/ Mini Series Class- Dublin, Ohio.”
